Privacy Policy

This policy explains what HeadsUp collects, how we use it, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.

1. What we collect

• Account info: your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Your content: the CV text and job description you provide, so we can tailor answers. This is stored to power the Service.
• Audio & transcripts: during a session, audio is captured on your device and converted to text by our transcription provider to detect questions. We do not store your interview audio recordings.
• Billing: handled by Stripe. We store your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference, never your card details.

2. How we use it

To provide the Service: authenticate you, generate tailored answers from your CV and the role, process your subscription, and operate and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Third parties we use

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Deepgram — speech-to-text transcription.
• Anthropic (Claude) — generating suggested answers.

These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the Service, under their own security and privacy commitments.

4. Data retention

We keep your account and content while your account is active. You can delete your CV and job description at any time in the app, and you can request full deletion of your account and data by emailing us. Interview audio is processed in real time and not retained as recordings.

5. Security

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted over HTTPS, and API keys are held server-side and never shipped in the app.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. UK/EU under GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these, contact us.
